The mission of Valley Canine Instruction is to assist families and their

canine companions using positive reinforcement training methods,

create an environment that is safe and designed

for success, and to provide educational options
based on individual needs.

My earliest memory is of my father presenting me with

a boxer puppy named Tiny.

He was the first of many breeds that shared their lives with us.

My father's gentle leadership and common sense approach always

made for mutually rewarding relationships. After many years of doing what

just felt right it was important to me to pursue a formal education

and certification in dog obedience.

With nearly 10 years of research, training and continued education,

the confidence to assist humans with their canine companions

became a reality! Be confident that you are choosing a

positive training experience and a gentle approach to pack leadership.

You might think that Valley Canine Instruction’s name comes from my location, serving the loving dog families of the Fox River Valley.  However, the business is dedicated to my Val, aka Silicon Valley.  He came to me as a retired racing Greyhound foster that suffered from extreme idiopathic epilepsy.  We shared our lives together for fours years until his passing in April of 2010.  Our journey is chronicled at www.greyhoundsonly.com, "hounds in need" page.
